Who was St. Thérèse?

Thérèse grew up in a small town in France, the youngest of five sisters. She wanted to be a saint like the ones in her books, the big kind, with oceans and kings in them. At fourteen she knelt in front of the Pope and asked him herself to let her into the convent, and two guards carried her out. They let her in the next year. Inside there were no oceans and no kings. There was sweeping, and laundry, and soup. So she decided that if she could not do big things, she would do very small things with very great love. She called it the Little Way. Her feast day is October 1.

While your little one colors, you can read the story for kids together, or the longer version on the blog.

Thérèse did a hundred small things with great love. Now she writes a letter to your little one. Letters from Heaven mails a hand-illustrated saint letter, prayer card, sticker, and zine, straight to your mailbox.
