The Assumption of Mary
The day the Church says Mary went to heaven whole, body and all.
The Assumption is the belief that when Mary's life on earth ended, God did not leave her body behind. She was taken up complete.
Christians had been celebrating this since at least the 400s, long before anyone made it official, which the Church finally did in 1950. There is no tomb of Mary anywhere claiming to hold her, and for a figure that important, that absence is itself a kind of evidence.
The reason it matters is that it says bodies are not disposable. Not a soul escaping a shell. The whole person, kept.
